We are a growing fitness company operating more than 10 premium boutique fitness studios across Calgary. With thousands of member visits each week, our facilities require ongoing attention to ensure every location remains clean, safe, functional, and visually impressive.
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance & Site Coordinator to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone with broad maintenance, renovation, or construction experience who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining high-quality facilities.
In addition to routine maintenance and repairs across our studios, this position will also assist with coordinating and overseeing work performed by subcontractors on company-owned renovation and construction projects.
What You'll DoFacilities Maintenance
Perform a wide variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, including:
- Drywall patching, wall repairs, and touch-up painting
- Repairing dents, holes, trim, baseboards, and finish carpentry items
- Re-caulking, silicone work, weather stripping, and door seals
- Minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, shower fixtures, and leak investigations
- Replacing light bulbs, fixtures, and basic electrical components (where permitted)
- HVAC filter replacements and preventative maintenance tasks
- Installing signage, shelving, fixtures, and equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving general facility issues before they become larger problems
- Conducting routine inspections of studio locations and identifying maintenance needs
Site Coordination & Project Support
Assist with company renovation and construction projects by:
- Meeting and coordinating subcontractors on-site
- Monitoring project progress and reporting updates to management
- Ensuring job sites remain organized, safe, and presentable
- Assisting with material deliveries, site logistics, and project documentation
- Performing minor construction and finishing tasks as required
- Supporting the Operations team with project execution and quality control
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a versatile "jack-of-all-trades" with experience in maintenance, construction, renovations, property management, or a related field.
Qualifications include:
- Strong general maintenance and repair experience
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and building systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and conduct when working in active fitness studios
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as required
Trade certifications are welcome but not required. We value practical experience, reliability, and a positive attitude above all else.
