Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods essential for manufacturing processes. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and develop expertise in ERP systems and procurement strategies within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services required for production.
Support vendor management activities, including evaluating supplier performance and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Utilize ERP systems to process purchase orders, track deliveries, and update procurement records.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
Assist in analyzing pricing, negotiating terms, and optimizing procurement costs.
Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, supplier information, and inventory levels within MRP systems.
Support the development of sourcing strategies aligned with manufacturing needs and company objectives.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

Proven experience or familiarity with ERP systems within a supply chain setting.
Strong understanding of purchasing processes, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supply chain management.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Ability to analyze pricing data and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Prior experience in manufacturing or related industries is preferred but not mandatory. This role is ideal for candidates eager to grow their career in procurement and supply chain management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
