Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laser/ Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced CNC laser cutting machines and press brake equipment to shape and fabricate sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and safety protocols are strictly followed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting machines, press brake machines, and other related fabrication equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal parts.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery including CNC press breaks, a CNC turret punch, Fibre and CO2 laser, and a hydraulic shear to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process using visual checks and measurement tools to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
Operate forklifts, cranes, and hand tools safely to move raw materials or finished products within the workspace.
Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, tooling changes, and inspection results for traceability and continuous improvement purposes.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting systems, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software used for laser cutting and press brake operations.
Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other quality inspection tools accurately.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, material quantities, and machine settings.
Mechanical aptitude combined with knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication techniques, safety procedures including crane operation and forklift certification.
