Our busy Chilliwack office has an opening for a General Litigation Assistant. This may potentially be an opportunity for past mature Legal Administrative Assistants who may have left the profession to raise a family, who wish to return to a career on a partial-day basis with younger children at home.
A sample ideal schedule could be Monday through Friday, 9:00 pm – 3:00 pm., but this is negotiable and flexible. Preferred applicants must though also possess the flexibility to be available full-time (given notice) for Trial preparation or other unexpected requirements. In your application, please describe your sample desired schedule.
The scope of duties will include:
- Standard office administrative processes such as filing, time entry, scanning, photocopying and binder assembly;
- Opening and closing files, and other general office tasks as assigned by a Paralegal and Partner;
- Overflow Reception coverage as required (but expected to be infrequently).
An important criteria for the successful candidate is their sincere interest in ongoing general administrative employment. Anticipating that aspiring legal administrative assistants may view this posting as an opportunity to join a law firm, those applicants with a primary desire to maintain a professional, general office services career may be given preference. While we appreciate all interest, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted. In your application, please explain why this type of position is preferable for you.
Office or professional services experience would be preferred, and while we appreciate all interest, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.Our busy Chilliwack office has an opening for a General Litigation Assistant.
