About SP Janitorials SP Building Maintenance and Janitorials is a growing British Columbia commercial cleaning company serving hotels, offices, residential and strata buildings, institutions, warehouses and other commercial properties. We are seeking a proactive, organized and results-driven Business Development & Client Relations Manager. This person will help grow the company by finding new business opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers and assisting with securing profitable commercial cleaning contracts. The successful candidate will also remain involved after accounts are signed. They will manage ongoing client relationships, collect feedback, respond to complaints, coordinate solutions with our operations team and help retain clients over the long term. Key Responsibilities Business Development and Sales Develop and implement business-development plans to attract new commercial cleaning clients
Research prospective markets, competitors, industry trends and client needs Identify and contact hotels, property-management companies, strata corporations, offices, warehouses, educational facilities, institutions and other commercial properties
Generate leads through telephone calls, emails, networking, referrals, in-person visits and industry events Connect with property managers, facility managers, hotel managers, housekeeping managers and other decision-makers
Arrange and attend client meetings, presentations and property walkthroughs Assess prospective clients’ cleaning requirements, schedules and service expectations
Work with company ownership to prepare quotations, proposals and service agreements Participate in pricing, contract and service negotiations within company-approved guidelines
Follow up consistently with prospects from initial contact through contract signing Maintain an organized sales pipeline using the company’s CRM or lead-tracking system Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client accounts Help secure profitable recurring contracts that align with the company’s capabilities and pricing requirements Client Relations and Account Management
Manage assigned client relationships after contracts are signed Support a smooth transition from contract signing to service commencement
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients Maintain regular communication with clients and conduct service check-ins
Collect feedback and confirm that cleaning services meet client expectations Receive, document and respond professionally to client complaints and concerns
Coordinate with company ownership, supervisors and cleaning teams to investigate service issues Arrange appropriate corrective action when service problems occur.
Follow up with clients after corrective action to confirm that concerns have been resolved Track recurring complaints, missed tasks, service-quality issues and requested changes Communicate changes in scope, scheduling and site requirements to the appropriate team members Conduct client site visits and service inspections when required
Support client satisfaction, retention, contract renewals and referrals Identify opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients
Escalate serious complaints, pricing disputes and contract concerns to company ownership Planning, Organization and Reporting Maintain accurate records of leads, client communications, meetings, walkthroughs, proposals and follow-up dates
Document client complaints, corrective actions and final resolutions Provide regular reports on sales activity, active opportunities, submitted proposals, signed contracts and client concerns
Monitor market conditions and recommend sectors or geographic areas for expansion Coordinate closely with company ownership and operations staff
Protect confidential client and company information Represent SP Janitorials professionally at meetings, walkthroughs and industry events
Qualifications
Two to three years of experience in business development, B2B sales, client relations, account management or a related role Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, property management or building services is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build professional relationships and help close commercial contracts Experience managing client accounts and responding to complaints or service-quality concerns
Strong sales, negotiation, customer-service and relationship-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Professional telephone and email communication Strong organization, follow-up, time-management and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage several prospects, projects and client accounts simultaneously Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, CRM platforms or other lead-tracking systems Ability to work independently while collaborating with company ownership, supervisors and cleaning teams Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Ability and willingness to travel to client locations throughout the company’s service areas Legally authorized to work in Canada Compensation and Benefits $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience Commission on eligible new accounts personally secured Performance-based incentives Fuel or mileage reimbursement for approved business-related travel
Support from company ownership when preparing estimates, proposals and contracts Opportunity for professional growth as the company expands Commission will be calculated and paid according to SP Janitorials’ written commission policy. Unless otherwise stated in that policy, commission becomes payable after the company receives the applicable client payment.
Probationary Period This is a full-time position from the employee’s first day of work. The first three months of employment will be considered a probationary period. During probation, SP Janitorials will evaluate the employee’s performance, reliability, attendance, communication, lead-generation activity, follow-up, client relationship management and overall suitability for the position. Continued employment will be subject to the successful completion of the probationary period and a performance review.

Strengthen existing client relationships and support contract retention Provide regular and reliable updates to company ownership
