Overview
King’s Court Church is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and service-oriented Church Associate to provide day-to-day operational leadership across the church.
Working closely with the Senior Pastor, Heads of Departments (HODs), ministry leaders, the Finance Team, the Rentals & Facilities Committee, volunteers, and community partners, the Church Associate coordinates the administrative, operational, facilities, rental, and ministry support functions that enable the church to operate effectively.
The Church Associate provides day-to-day leadership to the Administrative Assistant, coordinates operational support across ministries, and serves as a key point of connection between church leadership, ministry teams, facility renters, vendors, community organizations, and other external partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is highly organized, takes initiative, builds strong relationships, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a welcoming and service-focused approach. The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening the systems, relationships, and day-to-day operations that support King’s Court Church’s mission, vision, and impact within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Church Administration
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership for King’s Court Church, ensuring administrative and operational services are effectively coordinated and delivered.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve administrative systems, operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Coordinate the church-wide operational calendar, including ministry activities, meetings, facility bookings, events, and organizational priorities.
- Ensure operational readiness for worship services, ministry programs, leadership meetings, conferences, outreach initiatives, and special events.
Ministry & Leadership Support
- Partner with the Senior Pastor, Heads of Departments (HODs), and ministry leaders to understand ministry priorities and coordinate operational support.
- Support the planning and implementation of church-wide ministry initiatives, ensuring appropriate administrative, logistical, facility, and operational support.
- Provide operational advice, recommendations, and updates to the Senior Pastor and church leadership to support planning and decision-making.
Facilities, Rentals & Asset Management
- Provide operational leadership for the effective stewardship and use of church facilities and assets.
- Work collaboratively with the Rentals & Facilities Committee to implement approved facility priorities, maintenance plans, rental strategies, and operational initiatives.
- Oversee facility bookings, rental agreements, scheduling, invoicing processes, facility access, and renter relationships.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, contractors, vendors, and related facility requirements.
- Monitor church equipment, furnishings, technology, and other operational assets and identify opportunities to maximize facility utilization.
Community Engagement & External Relations
- Serve as King’s Court Church’s primary operational representative within the community on matters delegated by the Senior Pastor.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, schools, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipal representatives, strategic partners, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Represent the church at community and municipal meetings as required.
- Support grant opportunities and community-based initiatives that align with the church’s mission and strategic priorities.
Financial Administration & Stewardship
- Provide operational oversight of purchasing and procurement activities in collaboration with the Finance Team.
- Support the monitoring of operational budgets and expenditures.
- Coordinate purchasing documentation, contracts, vendor relationships, and related administrative processes.
Communications, Governance & Compliance
- Coordinate church-wide operational communications and announcements in collaboration with the Media Department and ministry leaders.
- Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Rentals & Facilities Committee and other committees as assigned.
- Monitor the implementation of committee decisions and provide operational updates as required.
- Support compliance with church policies, regulatory requirements, permits, licences, insurance requirements, inspections, and applicable legislation.
- Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate solutions to support a safe, accountable, and well-managed church environment.
Leadership & People Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, direction, and support to the Administrative Assistant.
- Establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, coordinate workflow, and ensure administrative services are delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and development of administrative staff and operational volunteers as required.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in operations, administration, project coordination, facilities management, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating operational activities across multiple teams, ministries, or stakeholder groups.
- Experience providing leadership or day-to-day direction to staff and/or volunteers is an asset.
- Experience working in a church, faith-based, or nonprofit environment and building relationships with community or external partners is an asset.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Understanding of administrative systems, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of facilities management, vendor coordination, procurement, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and other office technology.

Faith & Membership Requirement
As this position serves within the ministry and operations of King’s Court Church and works closely with church leadership, ministries, and members of the congregation, applicants must be current members of King’s Court Church and demonstrate alignment with the church’s Christian faith, mission, vision, and values.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required to support church services, ministry events, meetings, and community initiatives.
- Work is performed primarily within an office and church facility environment, with occasional travel within the community.
- May occasionally require lifting, moving, or coordinating equipment and materials for church activities and events.
