The Opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from early planning and approvals through design, procurement, construction, and closeout. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while coordinating consultants, contractors, municipal stakeholders, and project teams.
This is not a role focused solely on administration or reporting. We are looking for a leader who takes ownership, solves problems, and helps guide projects toward successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-family, commercial, mixed-use, and development projects through all project phases
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, risk registers, and reporting
- Coordinate architects, engineers, specialty consultants, and municipal authorities
- Manage development approvals, permitting, and regulatory processes
- Lead procurement activities, contract administration, and consultant selection
- Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and challenges
- Support construction execution through coordination, reporting, and issue resolution
- Facilitate meetings, prepare project updates, and maintain stakeholder alignment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices and processes
What We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you have:
- Experience managing multi-family, commercial, institutional, land development, or mixed-use projects
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and clients
- Knowledge of Alberta municipal approval and permitting processes
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to balance technical, financial, and stakeholder considerations
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of project outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Planning, Project Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- PMP, P.Eng., CET, Gold Seal, or similar professional designation considered an asset
- Experience with Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar project management software
