Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window Blinds & Curtain Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining window coverings in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience with various construction and carpentry techniques, along with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Attention to detail, precision, and a strong work ethic are essential for ensuring customer satisfaction and safety during installations.
Responsibilities
- Measure windows accurately to determine the appropriate size of blinds or curtains
- Install window coverings using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and levels
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and installation instructions
- Ensure proper caulking and sealing around window frames for optimal insulation and appearance
- Adjust and troubleshoot installed products to ensure smooth operation
- Maintain a clean work area during and after installations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on product selection
- Follow safety protocols at all times during installation procedures
Experience
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is advantageous
- Experience with restoration projects, construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and general building codes is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
