About Us

No 1 Tax Depot is a growing accounting and advisory firm dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses achieve financial clarity and success. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper who is certified and proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our team.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience managing client accounts using QuickBooks Online. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting our clients' day-to-day accounting needs.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and review monthly financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Process payroll and related remittances when required.
Maintain organized digital records and supporting documentation.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Collaborate with accountants and clients to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

Required

QuickBooks Online Certification (current and active).
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Excellent understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Close attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently.

Preferred

Experience working in a public accounting or bookkeeping firm.
Familiarity with Canadian payroll, GST/HST filings, and government remittances.
Knowledge of cloud-based accounting applications such as Dext, Hubdoc, Wagepoint, or similar tools.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
