We are searching for someone who understands parts, inventory, and service processes and is ready to step in, take the reins, and become a key part of our dealership team. If you have experience in automotive, powersports, or equipment parts departments and enjoy solving problems for customers, this is an excellent opportunity.
Westlock Powersports & Marine operates out of a modern facility located just over an hour northwest of Edmonton along Highway 44. We are an authorized dealer for Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Cub Cadet, Mercury, and White River Marine brands. Our dealership serves a large rural and recreation-focused community, and our team shares a strong passion for the outdoors and powersports.
This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with customers, technicians, and suppliers to ensure units are repaired quickly and customers leave satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers in the showroom, over the phone, and via email with parts and accessory inquiries
Recommend the correct parts and accessories for customer units
Upsell relevant accessories and maintenance items where appropriate
Provide clear and accurate information about repairs, parts availability, and timelines
- Service Department Support
Sell parts and accessories for units currently in the service department
Work closely with technicians to source required parts quickly
Assist with scheduling service appointments when required
Ensure parts are ordered and available to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Parts & Inventory Management
Look up parts using manufacturer systems and supplier catalogs
Order parts from approved suppliers and manufacturers
Manage back orders and communicate with customers about timelines
Maintain accurate inventory counts and notify management of low stock
Organize shelving, displays, and parts storage areas
- Warranty & Vendor Relations
Submit warranty claims to manufacturers
Communicate with suppliers regarding returns, warranties, and discrepancies
Ensure proper documentation and procedures are followed
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a parts department is strongly preferred (automotive, powersports, agriculture, or heavy equipment)
- Strong understanding of parts lookup systems and service department workflow
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple service jobs at once
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication with customers, technicians, and suppliers
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable working with computers and dealership management systems
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Location Requirement
Candidates must be willing to commute to Westlock, Alberta or relocate to the area.
