Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong caregiving skills, and be committed to supporting early childhood development. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while fostering their growth and learning.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development alongside co-educators
Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety at all times
Foster a warm and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the childcare space in accordance with health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational program that meets developmental milestones

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings is preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children effectively
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to children's needs
Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
Certification of level 1 orientation course is mandatory to be completed within 6 months of employment start date

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
