Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service operations within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using basic math skills.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Assist with food handling and storage procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.
Support team members as needed in various tasks related to food service operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to handle cash accurately and operate POS systems efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
Good time management skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure during peak hours.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
