Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

Answer customer, vendor, and outside sales representative’s calls / emails
Research detailed products
Recommend products for specific applications
Handle customer complaints and concerns
Enter / review orders submitted by email, fax, mail, phone, E.D.I. and online
Provide quotations to customers and sales representatives upon request
Expedite outstanding backorders and orders as required
Source non-stock items for specific customer requests
Maintain knowledge level on product lines by attending a variety of training sessions
Provide (M)SDS sheets where and when necessary
Work with the team in shipping to expedite rush orders and provide delivery information to customers
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Physical/Mental Demands

Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
Experience with online order systems
Capable of learning new skills and transferring that knowledge immediately and accurately
