Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Dance Instructor/Choreographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages through engaging dance lessons, develop innovative choreography, and foster a positive learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine artistic expression with educational development, making a meaningful impact on students’ confidence and skills.

Wage will be negotiated based on variables.

Duties

Plan and teach dance classes tailored to various skill levels and age groups, including children and beginners.
Develop original choreography for performances, and recitals
Create a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
Collaborate with staff, and other instructors to coordinate class schedules and performances.
Assist in organizing dance workshops, community events, and school programs.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a clean, organized studio environment.
Incorporate elements of early childhood education when working with young children to promote developmental milestones through dance.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with dance trends and teaching methodologies.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or choreographing dance routines.
Strong ability to work effectively with children and diverse age groups.
Excellent communication skills to instruct and motivate students clearly.
Creativity in developing engaging dance routines and lesson plans.
Classroom experience or background in early childhood education is a plus.
Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual student needs.
Passion for dance education and fostering artistic growth in others.
Organizational skills to manage class schedules and coordinate performances effectively. This position provides an enriching environment for individuals dedicated to dance education and student development, offering opportunities for creative expression while making a positive difference in the community.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $20.00-$75.00 per hour
