McKinnon Psychotherapy & Counselling – Now Hiring In-Person Clinicians

Psychologists / Registered Psychotherapists / Social Workers

Location: 42 Front Street, Trenton, Ontario

McKinnon Psychotherapy & Counselling is a growing group practice in downtown Trenton. We are looking for clinicians to join our in-person team in our thoughtfully designed four-room clinic.

Most of our clinical work takes place onsite, where collaboration, consultation, and connection happen naturally.

We are currently expanding services and welcome applications from Psychologists, Registered Psychotherapists, and Social Workers who are interested in being part of a supportive and high-quality clinical environment.

About McKinnon Psychotherapy

McKinnon Psychotherapy is a group practice built with intention, designed to feel calm, welcoming, and grounded for both clients and clinicians.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported, respected, and connected to their team. Our space was created to feel warm and human, not clinical or sterile. Many clients comment that they feel more at ease the moment they walk in the door.

We hold high standards for care while maintaining a genuine and collaborative culture. Professional, but approachable. Structured, but flexible.

Our clinic at 42 Front Street was designed by therapists, for therapists.

Downtown location close to coffee shops, lunch spots, the river, and seasonal markets

We’ve grown from a one-room office into a four-room clinic, while maintaining the same thoughtful approach to client care and clinician experience.

Who We’re Looking For:

We welcome clinicians from a variety of clinical backgrounds who value providing thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-informed care.

Areas of interest that complement our current team include:

Psychological assessment
Children (6+) and youth
Couples or family therapy
Trauma-focused modalities (EMDR, IFS, somatic approaches)
Neurodiversity-informed care
Parenting support
Group therapy
Any specialty or niche that supports meaningful client outcomes

We value clinicians who are comfortable working as part of a team environment and participating in peer consultation, meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Some clinicians also enjoy contributing to educational resources that support client understanding of therapy (for example short educational materials or social media content). Participation in this is optional.

Qualifications

Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field
Registration in good standing with the CPO, CRPO, OCSWSSW, or other relevant regulatory College
Interest in providing in-person services in Trenton
Qualifying RPs welcome; supervision support available!
