What our work looks like

This is a full-time position for the Lloydminster, AB Area. We seek Journeyman or apprentice Instrument Technicians with relevant commercial, industrial and oilfield experience. With a consistent focus on safety, cost control and client satisfaction, the Instrument Technician will also have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail that meets or exceeds client needs. Selected candidates can be expected to:

Install, calibrate, and maintain various oilfield instruments.
Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems, diagnosing faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
Install process control instrumentation, including transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves.
Perform mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification, including removal and installation of small piping and tubing.
Rebuild and calibrate transmitters and control valves, tune controllers.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work.
Complete all written and electronic required, documenting the work in progress and as it is completed, including Work orders, Maintenance reports, and Material requests.

Qualifications

Journeyman or apprentice Instrument Technician with experience in oilfield maintenance is a must.
Strong computer skills with a high level of interest in learning Noralta’s propriety applications
Current H2S Alive certification and Standard First Aid would be an asset
