Full job description

Are you a licensed 310S Mechanic looking for a stable career with a company that values quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork? Fowler Construction is looking for an experienced mechanic to join our Shop team, helping keep our fleet vehicles and pick-up trucks operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
Performing preventative maintenance and routine servicing
Inspecting vehicles and identifying required repairs
Testing repaired vehicles to verify proper performance
Completing accurate maintenance records and repair documentation
Ordering, tracking, and organizing parts required for repairs
Assisting with tire installations and supporting the Licensed Tire Installer as required
Mentoring and supporting apprentices in repair and maintenance activities
Other mechanical repair work as required.

Qualifications:

Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Licence or in progress
Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed 310S Mechanic
Postsecondary education in automotive service or a related technical program is considered an asset
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic computer proficiency
Valid Class G driver's licence
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work

Work Conditions

Primarily based in our shop, with occasional travel to company job sites
Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak operating periods
Safety equipment will be required such as safety boots, hearing protection and safety glasses.
