Full job description

Cedar Valley is a family-owned business located north of Brockville, ON that is proud to be a regulation 18-hole golf course, complete with a driving range and practice facilities offering a fully licensed clubhouse and restaurant. We offer 2 wedding venues, the Clubhouse and our 3,000-square-foot Pavilion providing beautiful and versatile settings for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, community events and other special occasions.

We seek a candidate to join our professional team as the Wedding / Event Coordinator. This key position requires a highly organized individual with exceptional planning and interpersonal skills to ensure the seamless execution of weddings and events.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and executing weddings, banquets, showers, and other private events;
Conduct venue walkthroughs and tastings with prospective clients;
Manage rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and the wedding day to handle questions, timelines, and last-minute changes;
Responsible as the primary contact for all vendors, including florists, photographers, caterers, musicians, and transportation services.
Maintain detailed event calendars, banquet event orders (BEO), set up floor plans, and ensure the client's contract is completed to their satisfaction;
Arrange for set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, decor, AV equipment, and signage;
Support club policies and ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Requirements:

2-3 years experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines at once;
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
Comfortable working independently and problem-solving under pressure;
Completed post secondary with a Business Administration or Hospitality Diploma;
Proficiency with computer software and apps;
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule;
Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Certificate would be an asset;

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
