Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth at our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of automotive sales processes, and the ability to develop strategic sales initiatives. The Automotive Sales Manager will oversee the entire sales pipeline, support dealership operations, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the automotive sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, including upselling techniques and marketing initiatives.
Cultivate new business opportunities through outside sales efforts and B2B networking.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline by prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs, negotiating deals, and ensuring satisfaction.
Support dealership operations by coordinating with finance, service, and support departments to streamline the sales process.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team members’ communication skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
Utilize organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions.
Use phone etiquette and professional communication skills to engage prospects via calls, emails, and in-person meetings.

Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive or retail sales management with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Extensive knowledge of outside sales strategies, negotiation tactics, and B2B sales development.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for engaging clients professionally.
Background in dealership operations or retail environment is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in sales management roles.
Knowledge of marketing principles related to automotive industry promotion strategies.
Strong math skills for calculating deals, financing options, and profit margins. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a motivated professional eager to lead a successful automotive sales team while delivering exceptional service to customers across diverse markets.
