Supreme Hoops Canada is looking for experienced, passionate basketball coaches to join our coaching team for the upcoming season.
We aren't simply looking for someone to stand on the sideline.
We're looking for coaches.
People who love teaching the game. Who can walk into a gym with a plan. Who understand that player development is bigger than wins and losses. And who want to help young athletes become better basketball players, teammates and people.
Whether you're an experienced high school or club coach, a former college or university player looking to get back into the game, or an emerging coach ready for a bigger opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
WHO WE ARE
Supreme Hoops Canada is a Calgary-based basketball program providing competitive and developmental opportunities for athletes from elementary through high school.
Our teams compete locally and travel to tournaments throughout Canada and the United States, with our high school programs focused on helping athletes prepare for opportunities at the next level.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are recruiting coaches across our boys and girls programs, including:
- Youth Development
- U11 & U13
- U14 & U15
- U16 & U17
- High School / Showcase
Team placement will be based on coaching experience, basketball background and fit.
As a Supreme Head Coach, you'll have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while working within the overall philosophy and standards of the Supreme program.
Our goal is to give coaches the ability to focus on coaching while the club supports much of the scheduling, registration and administration that happens away from the court.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan and lead engaging, competitive practices
- Teach individual skills, team concepts and basketball IQ
- Establish offensive and defensive systems appropriate for your team
- Manage games, rotations and player roles
- Provide athletes with honest and constructive feedback
- Build strong relationships with players and families
- Communicate expectations clearly
- Work collaboratively with other Supreme coaches and program directors
- Represent Supreme professionally at practices, games and tournaments
- Create an environment where athletes are challenged, supported and held accountable
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're particularly interested in coaches with experience in one or more of the following:
- High school basketball
- Competitive club basketball
- Provincial basketball
- College or university basketball
- NCCP coaching
- Former ACAC, CCAA or U SPORTS playing experience
- Previous experience as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach
Previous head coaching experience is an asset, but not required for every position.

COACHING WITH SUPREME
Depending on team assignment, coaches can expect:
- Team practices and development opportunities throughout the season
- Weekend league and tournament competition
- Local and travel opportunities depending on team level
- Club support with scheduling, registration and administration
- Access to an established basketball program and coaching community
- Opportunities to coach athletes from developmental through showcase levels
- Opportunities for continued coaching development
- Paid coaching positions / seasonal honorariums based on role, experience and commitment
- Family program discounts available for coaches whose children play with Supreme Hoops Canada
OUR SEASON
Supreme operates from September through June, with two distinct portions of our season.
FALL | SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER
The fall is primarily about training and development.
This portion of the season provides coaches with the opportunity to teach, develop individual skills, introduce team concepts and help athletes build a stronger foundation.
Teams practice and train throughout the fall with limited game play, allowing development to remain the priority.
SPRING | APRIL – JUNE
The spring remains development focused, but the balance shifts toward competition.
Teams continue to train and develop throughout the spring while playing a significantly heavier game and tournament schedule.
This is the primary competitive portion of our club season, with teams participating in local league play, tournaments and, depending on age and level, travel competition throughout Canada and the United States.
Fall is where we build. Spring is where we build and compete.
