Overview
Our Calgary-based client is seeking a Digital Production Designer with strong Sitecore XM Cloud experience to support a large-scale website transformation initiative spanning multiple web properties.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating approved Figma designs into production-ready website experiences using Sitecore XM Cloud and an established component library. The successful candidate will work closely with designers, marketers, developers, and project stakeholders to assemble pages, support website launches, conduct visual QA, and ensure a consistent user experience across multiple sites.
This is not a software development role . The focus is on page assembly, component mapping, visual accuracy, quality assurance, and leveraging existing Sitecore capabilities to bring approved designs to life.
Key Responsibilities
Sitecore Page Assembly
Build and maintain website pages within Sitecore XM Cloud using approved Figma mockups.
Assemble pages using existing Sitecore components, templates, and design system assets.
Configure layouts, content, imagery, video, links, metadata, spacing, and styling using Sitecore page-building tools.
Ensure pages accurately reflect approved designs and brand standards.
Design Review & Component Mapping
Review Figma mockups and determine how designs align with existing Sitecore components.
Identify opportunities to leverage existing functionality before recommending enhancements.
Collaborate with design and development teams when custom functionality or component modifications are required.
Support decision-making around component usage and implementation approaches.
Quality Assurance & Launch Support
Perform visual QA to ensure websites match approved designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences.
Validate responsiveness, alignment, spacing, component behavior, content accuracy, and overall user experience.
Participate in UAT and support issue resolution during website launches.
Assist with ongoing launch activities as new sites are released throughout the project.
Collaboration & Communication
Participate in project meetings with internal stakeholders and project team members.
Work closely with UX/design, development, marketing, and project management teams.
Communicate implementation progress, risks, and recommendations.
Jira Tracking & Documentation
Create and manage Jira tickets related to defects, enhancements, implementation requirements, and launch support activities.
Document findings, recommendations, and implementation considerations for technical teams.
Design System & Figma Support
Work extensively with Figma files and design system components.
Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, colours, and component usage.
Ensure all implementations align with established design standards.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud or related Sitecore environments.
Experience building and assembling webpages within Sitecore using component-based page-building tools.
Strong understanding of enterprise CMS platforms and content management workflows.
Proficiency with Figma and the ability to interpret detailed design specifications.
Experience working within established design systems and component libraries.
Strong visual design sensibility and exceptional attention to detail.
Experience performing visual QA and validating responsive web experiences.
Experience using Jira or similar project management tools.
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Portfolio required. Candidates should be prepared to showcase examples of website implementations, page assembly work, design system usage, and projects demonstrating strong visual attention to detail.
