We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join the T&T Power Group team.
In 1980, T&T Diesel Power was formed with a focus on standby and emergency generators. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician / Millwright is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance of diesel-powered equipment in power generation, construction, ground support, mining, generating, welding, pump sets, and material handling.

- Permanent, Full-Time, Hourly Rate, Overtime eligible
- Monday – Friday
- Vacation entitlement: In accordance with Simson-Maxwell’s “Human Resources Policies & Procedures.” (Vacation time cannot be taken during probationary period.)

Requirements
- Certification: Journeyman Designation in a Mechanical trade (Heavy Duty or Diesel Engine) is preferred. Journeyman Millwrights or Electricians with relevant engine experience will be considered.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of A/C power and comfort testing components where live voltage may be present.
- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Compliance: Ability to adhere to CSA 282 standards for emergency power systems.
- Safety & Legal: Valid Driver’s License (clean abstract required) and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Assets: ASTT Certification and familiarity with diagnostic software (e.g., CAT ET, Cummins Insite, Volvo Tech Tool).
Job Duties
- Diagnose, Repair & Rebuild: Work on a wide range of industrial engines including Deutz, Volvo Penta, Perkins, Cummins, John Deere, Mitsubishi, and CAT.
- System Testing: Conduct load tests using building loads or external load banks.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Use specialized software to interpret alarms, fault codes, and control panel data to identify root causes.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled PMs in strict accordance with OEM recommendations and CSA 282 standards.
- Safety: Maintain strict adherence to all Health and Safety protocols and site-specific requirements.

Wage: $46 – $52.00 per hour (Wage is strictly dependent on experience and certification)
