Full job description

We are currently seeking a special person to work as a supervisor in one of our already established programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and tailoring an individualized support program for a single person with complex needs. This involves managing their Individual Support Plan, supervising their dedicated support workers (team of 6-8 workers).

Core Responsibilities

Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and scheduling direct support professionals to ensure continuous, 1-on-1 care.
Program Oversight: Designing and monitoring the Individual Support Plan (ISP) to foster independence, life skills, and community integration.
Funding & Administration: Managing the individual’s direct funding, tracking budgets, and overseeing payroll for the support staff.
Clinical Collaboration: Liaising with behavioral therapists, medical professionals, and case managers to ensure behavioral and medical needs are safely met.

The successful candidate must posses the ability to build a trusting relationship with the individual residing in the program, learn to advocate for the individual and be able to assist the individual with communicating their needs on a professional level to all those involved.

Candidates must possess effective social skills to be a positive role model for the individual and staff team and have a strong level of familiarity with residential programming and assessment skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly with recordings and reports.

We recognize the importance of having our staff culturally reflective of the clients we service providing equity within services. Therefore, we are requesting candidates to be able to demonstrate concepts of power, privilege and social location to the specific forms of oppression (such are LBGTTIQQ2SA, disability, race/culture, gender, religion and socio-economic status.)

Past experience in working with the Inuit community would be an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
