Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards for quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to excellence in the food industry. This shift starts at 8 am and goes till 4 pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques
Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards
Assist with food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
Package baked goods attractively for retail display or customer takeout orders
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of products
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed

Skills

Proven experience in cake decorating and pastry arts preferred
Strong background in food preparation, baking, and cooking within a restaurant or bakery setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in food packaging and presentation techniques
Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
Familiarity with food industry regulations and best practices for hygiene and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
