Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive the attention, exercise, and cleanliness they need while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and clients.

Duties

Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Clean and maintain kennel areas, ensuring a sanitary environment for all animals.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients and providing updates on their pets.
Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.

Experience

Candidates must have a current driver’s license
Previous experience in animal care or customer service is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.

Availability Expectations

Must be willing to work any shift between 6:30am and 9:00pm
Shifts average 4 - 8hrs
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays - including Christmas day.

Your availability during these times is a must due to the industry demands.
