Cornwall Dental Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Dental Receptionist to join our growing team! As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while supporting the smooth operation of our practice. Wage range dependent on experience and qualifications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic.
- Ensure patient receive personal attention in a timely professional manner.
- Ensure that all appropriate forms are completed prior to client receiving treatment.
- Assisting patients to fill out information forms as needed.
- Attached forms to electronic dental chart ready for all dental providers.
- Ensure patients have the correct dental insurance providers and number on file.
- Create proper documentation for patients and facilitate proper follow-up among staff.
- Schedule, re-schedule appointments as needed: fill cancellations and openings within the schedule.
- Collecting payments as needed and proper allocation to the dental providers.
- Balance cash and receipts daily.
- Performing general office duties such as answering multi-line telephones, photocopying, filing, faxing, scanning, sorting and sending forms.
- Organize and manage referrals to specialist including managing lab work request.
- Process income and outgoing lab cases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dentists and Office Manager.
Relevant Skills and Knowledge:
- Must have previous experience working in a Dental Clinic and/or a recent graduate from a Dental Program. (1 Year Experience)
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with dental professionals, management and staff.
- Coordinates with the Office Manager, overall activities for the front desk including but not limited to training and scheduling.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Exceptional time-management skills
- Strong attention to details.
- Good judgement and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Knowledge of Dentrix an asset but one-on one training is provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
