Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering packages efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to deliver parcels to designated addresses within assigned routes
- Load and unload packages, including heavy items requiring physical effort and proper handling techniques
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (G) preferred; a standard driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Experience in delivery is asset
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading parcels
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting with customers
- Reliable transportation to reach the warehouse or starting point each day.
- Must have your own Suv or Minivan
