This central-fill location performs specialty compounding and packaging services for our network stores. With the use of packaging automation, the Pharmacy Manager will be directly involved in operational oversight of the packaging process and distribution logistics. The Manager is expected to engage fellow Pharmacy Managers as customers and facilitate any data transfer, trouble-shoot medication sourcing, and conduct quality assurance on the packaging systems. A strong comfort level with Kroll is preferred, as this site uses a unique central-fill module to process prescription information.
Other responsibilities include coaching and developing the pharmacy team to provide superior customer service to other internal pharmacy locations. As the Manager you will participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues within the Pharmacy to provide excellent service levels.

- Manage packaging services for our network stores
- Lead and provide support to the specialty compounding services and long-term care departments at Central Fill
- Maintain operational oversight of the packaging process and distribution logistics
- Conduct quality assurance on the packaging systems
- Engage fellow Pharmacy Managers as customers
- Facilitate data transfer and trouble-shoot medication sourcing
- Role model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations daily for all staff
- Exceed internal customer expectations, respond to customers promptly and professionally
- Provide leadership skills, superior judgement, decision making and commitment to pharmacy team
- Create a coaching and development culture for all pharmacy employees which embraces a passion for health and wellness
- Oversee pharmacy talent management including succession planning, orientation and training, performance management and compensation
- Ensure the communication of operational requirements/changes and site vision to all employees
- Responsible to adequately always staff the site, through effective and flexible scheduling
- Responsible to ensure efficient operation of the business to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted Key Performance Indicators
- Manage pharmacy expenses, review and provide feedback to leader on expenses, sales and profitability
- Work with leader to identify and capitalize on opportunities within the market, understand and respond to local market needs and competition
- Responsible for ensuring that OH&S, and other regulatory requirements and procedures, are implemented and maintained[PJ2]
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in good standing, in the province of responsibility
- Injection and First Aid Certification
- Previous management experience in a pharmacy setting is an asset
- Kroll software experience is preferred
