Job Title: Employment Lawyer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: This is an exclusively fee-sharing arrangement.

We are a well-established employment law firm based in Toronto, Ontario. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services and achieving outstanding results for our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and dynamic Employment Lawyer to join our practice.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment and human rights law, with excellent written and oral advocacy skills. You should be confident, proactive, and client-focused, with the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate firmly with opposing counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in employment, human rights, and related litigation matters.
Prepare and draft correspondence, pleadings, mediation briefs, and legal arguments.
Attend mediations, discoveries, court proceedings, and tribunal hearings.
Manage case files and provide timely updates to clients.
Deliver exceptional client service by explaining complex legal concepts clearly and managing client expectations effectively.
Negotiate settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution processes.

Qualifications:

LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
2–5 years of experience in employment, labour, or human rights law.
Proven ability to manage litigation files independently.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Client-focused with the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
