Experienced Residential Cleaner – Contract / Independent Work
$20–$24/hour, with potential to earn up to $28/hour over time
Green Thumb Cleaning is growing and looking for experienced, dependable, and friendly cleaners to take on residential cleaning work throughout York Region and the GTA.
The amount of work available will depend on client bookings and business needs, so there are no guaranteed weekly hours.
This opportunity is best suited for someone who already has professional cleaning experience and is looking for flexible work.

Pay & Training
The first 10 cleans are paid at $18/hour while you become familiar with our expectations and quality standards.
If you demonstrate that you are ready to complete jobs independently sooner, you may move to the regular $20–$24/hour rate before completing all 10 cleans.
There is potential to earn up to $28/hour over time based on performance, reliability, experience, customer service, and business needs.
What You’ll Do
Contract cleaners may work on:
- Recurring residential cleans
- Deep cleans
- Move-in and move-out cleans
- Post-renovation cleans
- Kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and general home cleaning
You’ll be working directly with clients in their homes, so professionalism, friendliness, and excellent customer service are essential.
What You Need
- Minimum 1 year of professional cleaning experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Physically able to perform demanding cleaning work, including standing, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and scrubbing
- Legal ability to work in Canada
- Smartphone for communication and job details
- Ability to successfully complete a police background screening
Driver’s Licence & Vehicle Required
A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle are mandatory.
This work involves significant driving throughout York Region and the GTA, including travel between client homes.

Work is offered based on:

- Your availability
There are no guaranteed weekly hours.
Some jobs may require:
- Daytime availability
- Varying start and finish times
- Weekend availability
- Travel between multiple client locations
The more availability you have, the more opportunities we may be able to offer as jobs become available.
