We are currently recruiting for a permanent Full Time Barista to join our lobby Starbucks team in our Sheraton hotel lobby. Applicants MUST be available to work PM shifts from 2pm - 7pm.
Job Description:
Create and maintain a positive experience for customers, preparing and serving food & beverage as required by customer, while maintaining both Starbucks and Sheraton standards.
Responsibilities as follows:
- Prepares and serves beverage and/or food items as required by customer
- Handles sales and monetary transactions using POS system
- Maintains store cleanliness and order at all times
- Maintains store stock at all times
- Assists with inventory counts as required
- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately with co-workers, managers and customers
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of both Starbucks and Sheraton
- Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep outlet operating to standards and sets a positive example for the shift team
- Engages in conversation with customers to understand customer needs
- Models a “customer comes first” attitude, delivering exceptional customer service at all times
- Identifies concerns and areas for improvement and brings forward to supervisor/manager
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor, Manager and/or General Manager
Job Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
-Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to speak English clearly and distinctly
- Must have the ability to read and write English
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be able to use POS (Point of Sale) system
- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
- Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision
-MUST be available to work from 2pm - 7pm (5 shifts per week)
-Prior barista experience an asset (preference for prior Starbucks experience)
