Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing structural and non-structural repairs on vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment.

Responsibilities

Perform collision repairs including dent removal, panel repair, panel replacement, and refinishing.
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans in collaboration with estimators and management.
Repair or replace damaged interior and exterior components, electrical parts, and vehicle accessories.
Remove, install, and weld replacement panels and structural components as required.
Perform structural repairs using frame and measuring equipment.
Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, priming, painting, and buffing to achieve high-quality finishes.
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop machinery safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure repair deadlines and production goals are achieved.
Follow company procedures and quality control standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Continuously improve skills and stay current with industry repair techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair Technician, or similar role preferred.
Dealership or collision repair center experience is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, vehicle construction, and structural repair techniques.
Experience using frame machines, measuring systems, welding equipment, and refinishing tools.
Ability to read and interpret repair orders, estimates, and OEM repair procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Red Seal or 310B is preferred
I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Experience:

Autobody repair : 3 years (preferred)
