Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, seating guests, and maintaining smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff. A strong background in hospitality, food service, or customer service is preferred to deliver an outstanding experience for all patrons. The Host/Hostess plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or hotel management software
Provide accurate wait times and answer guest inquiries with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow
Handle guest concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
Assist with maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment in accordance with hospitality standards
Support team members as needed during busy periods to ensure efficient restaurant operations

Experience

Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable
Food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction abilities
Experience in hotel or restaurant settings will be considered a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attentiveness to guests’ needs

Pay: $18.25-$20.25 per hour
