SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Sales/ Delivery Driver position is critical to the successful operation of a Windsor Plywood store, with a primary focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The role support customers throughout the entire sales cycle—from the initial greeting to the final handshake after their vehicle is loaded.
In addition, this role is responsible for the pickup and delivery of building materials, as well as supporting yard operations. Duties include loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts and other equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is a physically demanding role that regularly requires lifting, carrying, and unloading materials by hand at customer sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items in a safe, timely manner with our cube van and pick-up truck
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and handling complaints
- Loading & unloading of Trucks | Yard & Worksites
- Demonstrate high-knowledge of inventory details, location & stock-levels on Site
- Demonstrate ability to identify grades, dimensions & species of lumber
- Required to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections | Daily equipment inspections Follow all Provincial driving rules & regulations
- Operate Forklift in a diligent, efficient & safe manner
- Ensure every customer experience exceeds the customer’s expectations – go the extra-mile”
- Promote features/benefits of all products & services provided – “drive sales”
- Find innovative methods to supply products to customers currently out of stock
- Placing regular stocking & Special Orders
- Processing front-counter transactions
- Ensure all product spaces (shelf, floor, pegs, racks) are adequately stocked
- Actively monitor stock levels, cleanliness, accuracy of signs & store navigation
- Handle customer problems & complaints in a positive & constructive manner
- Diligently follow Check-lists, policies, processes & procedures
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated/self-directed, with an ability to work independently using sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to be personable and social with customers to help deliver sales
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, always mindful of the customer
- Flexible, honest, acting in all situations with professionalism and integrity
- Must be able to lift heavy materials
- Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner
- Valid class 5 Drivers License is required
- Permanent resident of Canada
