Full job description

Drop Marine builds high-performance workboats, and we’re doing it differently. As a team of hands-on builders, problem solvers, and gearheads, we design and manufacture vessels and components with precision, grit, and a clear-eyed view of what works.

We’re hiring full-time Welder/Fabricators to join our team in the West Kootenays. Whether you’re early in your welding career or bring years of hands-on experience, this role offers a solid opportunity to grow, take ownership, and work on unique, high-performance builds.

What You’ll Do

Perform structural and component welding on marine vessels and parts
Interpret and follow technical drawings and build instructions
Assist in layout, fit-up, and fabrication of steel assemblies
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet project timelines
Maintain a safe, organized, and professional workspace

Need to have:

Welding or fabrication experience
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work full-time, on-site, and hands-on in a team setting
Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to a fast-moving shop environment

Nice to have:

Red Seal or CWB Certification
Experience in welding/fab for marine, industrial, or structural projects
Procurement, purchasing, or supplier coordination experience
Electrical or hydraulic system familiarity (install, repair, or troubleshooting)
Comfortable working from shop drawings, schematics, and fabrication prints
Past experience mentoring others or leading small teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.77-$49.08 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
