Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for culinary excellence within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining operational feasibility
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to uphold health standards
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize kitchen operations
Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices in accordance with health codes
Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a head chef or kitchen manager
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry
Strong knowledge of restaurant management, including inventory control, staff scheduling, and operational oversight
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
Willing to work minimum of 48 hours and 6 days per week
Deep understanding of food safety standards and best practices in the culinary field
Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is highly desirable
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A passion for hospitality service and delivering memorable dining experiences

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead our kitchen operations while showcasing their expertise in food industry management.

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
