Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience with medical terminology, medical office procedures, and electronic medical records is highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a patient-centered environment while developing your career in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and assist them with check-in procedures in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with privacy regulations
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance information, and follow-up care
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery
Manage phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to patient inquiries
Assist with billing processes and insurance verifications as needed
Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management within the office

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare documentation standards
Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable
Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems is essential
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate demeanor toward patients
Office experience that demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail
Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not required
