Full job description

MEXIKAN is a brand-new Mexican Grill & Cocktail Bar opening in Southwest Edmonton. We are looking for energetic, friendly, and outgoing team members who enjoy providing exceptional customer service in a fun, fast-paced environment.

If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy making guests feel welcome, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
Take food and beverage orders accurately.
Recommend menu items, cocktails, beer, tequila, and margaritas.
Serve food and beverages efficiently.
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (bartending shifts).
Ensure guests receive outstanding customer service.
Process payments using the POS system.
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining room, and bar area.
Restock bar and service stations.
Follow Alberta liquor regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
Work closely with the kitchen and other team members.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant.

Requirements

Previous serving or bartending experience preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate).
Valid Alberta ProServe Certification (required before starting).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to carry food trays and stand for extended periods.
Team player with a professional appearance.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a full-service restaurant.
Bartending experience.
Knowledge of tequila, margaritas, cocktails, beer, and wine.
Experience with POS systems such as Square is an asset.
Experience in Mexican or Latin restaurants is an asset.
