Job Summary:

As an Automotive Dismantler you will be responsible for removing various automotive parts that have been requested for sales/inventory/cores while ensuring all company safety policies and procedures are adhered to during the dismantling process.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct routine hoist inspections to ensure all hoists are safe, properly maintained, and in good working order.
Perform the safe removal, collection, and disposal of vehicle fluids—including engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and refrigerants—while adhering to all environmental regulations, workplace safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
Ensure disassembly work order sheets are completed accurately and that all parts are properly dismantled, identified, tagged, and distributed to designated locations.
Maintain clean work area
Assist with other tasks requested by management

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

Mechanical inclined with previous experience in automotive dismantling or repair
Solid understanding of vehicle component functionality and mechanics
Must possess a variety of automotive tools, including air-powered, battery-operated, and mechanical hand tools, required to safely and efficiently dismantle components from a wide range of late-model vehicles.
Hoist Experience
Ability to manage, organize and prioritize work
Enjoy working independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate, must have good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure good productivity
must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments
Forklift certification an asset
Valid Ontario Driver’s License

Physical Demands:

Ability to move/lift 50lbs
Standing for long period of time
Working under hoist

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
