Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Clifton Victoria Inn at the Falls – Niagara Falls, Ontario
Department: Housekeeping
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Clifton Victoria Inn at the Falls. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play an important role in ensuring our guestrooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will lead and support the housekeeping team, monitor daily operations, inspect guestrooms, assist with training, and ensure established hotel standards and procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
Assign guestrooms and daily duties to housekeeping staff based on occupancy and operational requirements.
Inspect guestrooms, hallways, public areas, and other assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
Follow up on room deficiencies and ensure issues are corrected promptly.
Assist with training and onboarding of new housekeeping team members.
Provide ongoing coaching and direction to housekeeping staff.
Monitor productivity, quality of work, attendance, and adherence to hotel procedures.
Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Management regarding room status and maintenance concerns.
Ensure guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns are addressed professionally and promptly.
Assist with inventory control and ensure housekeeping supplies are properly stocked and stored.
Ensure proper handling of lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
Maintain a safe and organized working environment and ensure staff follow all health and safety procedures.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper and Management with scheduling and other departmental responsibilities.
Lead by example and promote a positive, respectful, and professional workplace.
Perform housekeeping duties when required to support the team during busy periods.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate, coach, and work effectively with a diverse team.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when required.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical housekeeping duties as required.
Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and procedures is an asset.
