Career Opportunity: Mental Health Therapist-Child and Youth

Location: Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Takla Landing, or Burns Lake

Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

The Opportunity: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Therapist provides a range of mental health services to children and youth within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting.

What You Will Bring to The Role:

Master's degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, or Clinical Psychology
Registered with respective professional body (CCPA, BCACC, BCASW, ICBOC, ACCT or CPCA)
Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community-based mental health services.

The Location:

With the widespread need for mental health support, placements can be secured in Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Takla Landing, or Burns Lake. Placements available will depend on current staffing levels, available funding, and the communities' patient loads.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $45.9057 to $59.4491 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
