This position is based in Fort St. John, British Columbia. The successful applicant must reside in Fort St. John or be willing to relocate to the community.
Strategic Leadership
- Work closely with the ownership team to establish and advance the company’s strategic direction, priorities, and long-term growth plans.
- Translate strategic objectives into practical operational and financial plans.
- Identify emerging business opportunities, organizational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the continued integration and growth of the business following the amalgamation with Highmark Oilfield Services.
Operational Leadership
- Provide overall leadership and oversight of the company’s day-to-day operations.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements that strengthen safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure services are delivered consistently and in accordance with client expectations, contractual requirements, and company standards.
People and Organizational Leadership
- Lead, support, and hold managers and departmental leaders accountable for performance and results.
- Establish clear expectations, priorities, and lines of accountability throughout the organization.
- Promote strong communication and coordination between Operations and support functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Maintenance, and Health, Safety and Environment.
- Support the development of a capable, engaged, and high-performing leadership team and workforce.
- Foster a workplace culture grounded in safety, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Project and Performance Management
- Provide executive oversight of the Project Management Office and the company’s project portfolio.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate operational, project, financial, organizational and strategic performance.
- Address performance concerns, operational barriers, and emerging risks in a timely and effective manner.
Financial Leadership
- Work with the ownership and Finance teams to develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Use financial and operational data to guide decision-making and improve profitability.
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins, productivity, and overall business performance.
- Ensure company resources are allocated effectively to support current operations and sustainable growth.
Executive Accountability and Governance
- Provide the ownership team with timely, accurate reporting on financial performance, operations, projects, organizational risks, and strategic priorities.
- Present recommendations and business cases to support informed ownership decisions.
- Ensure decisions and commitments made with the ownership team are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organization.
- Preserve the strengths of both organizations while establishing a cohesive culture and consistent approach to operations.
Risk, Compliance and Corporate Responsibility
- Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
- Maintain appropriate systems for identifying, evaluating, and managing operational, financial, legal, reputational, and safety risks.
- Provide leadership during significant operational incidents, client concerns, or other situations that may affect business continuity or the company’s reputation.

Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five years of progressive senior leadership or executive management experience.
- Significant experience in the oil and gas, energy services, construction, industrial services, or a closely related industry.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas operations in Northeast British Columbia and Northwest Alberta.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multi-departmental operations, including Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Health, Safety and Environment.
- Experience with project management and oversight of multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial performance, operational costs, and profitability.
- Experience leading organizational growth, integration, or significant operational change.
- A proven record of building effective teams, strengthening business systems, and delivering measurable organizational results.
- A relevant post-secondary qualification in business, management, engineering, project management, or a related field is considered an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel periodically throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Pay: $185,000.00-$250,000.00 per year
