Full job description

Grande Cache Inn and Suites is seeking an experienced, hands-on Line Cook for the Smoky River Grill. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, with strong customer service skills.

Duties:

Prepare food to order to the highest quality standards.
Inventory control and food ordering to ensure food costs targets are achieved and wastage is minimized.
Ensure the kitchen facility is organized, clean, sanitary and in good working order.
Maintain and arrange service for all kitchen equipment.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Be a team player, assisting in the Front of the House when needed.
Other duties as required by management.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

At least 2 years of culinary work experience in a full-service establishment is required.
Ability to work both independently and effectively with a team.
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
Communication and leadership skills.

Required licenses, certificates, and registrations:

Food safe certification.
First aid certification is an asset.
Valid WHIS certificate is required.
