Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the food industry while ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

Greet customers promptly and courteously at the counter or drive-thru.
Prepare and assemble food orders according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Manage cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety standards.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
Assist in food handling tasks, adhering to proper sanitation protocols.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and sanitation.

Requirements

Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
Ability to handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation standards.
Experience in food preparation, serving, or the food industry is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
