Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Worker/General Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, performing manual labor, and supporting skilled tradespeople on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow safety protocols, and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic construction environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction and building trades.

Duties

Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials
Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and other basic equipment
Use power tools safely for tasks including framing, cutting, and assembly
Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks
Support installation of cabinetry, flooring, tile laying, and painting projects
Perform demolition or restoration work as needed
Read basic blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements (training provided if needed)
Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
Support heavy equipment operation under supervision when required

Experience

Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific skills
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or flooring installation is advantageous
Experience in concrete finishing or restoration work is beneficial
Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus but not required
Candidates should demonstrate physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads safely
A valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel and material transportation

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
