Full job description

Restoration Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Restoration Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, or other damages. The ideal candidate would be in the Durham Region with the ability to drive to jobs throughout the Greater Toronto Region (GTA).

You should have experience with cleaning, construction, and the use of various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills contribute directly to helping clients recover from property damage efficiently and effectively.

You will respond to emergency water, fire, smoke, storm, and mold damage jobs in the GTA. You'll play a key role in restoring commercial & residential properties back to pre-loss condition. This is a fast-paced, physically active role with overtime opportunities.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about restoration work who want to develop their skills within a supportive team environment. All applicants should be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to emergency restoration service calls, including evenings, weekends, and participation in an on-call rotation.
Perform water extraction, structural drying, and dehumidification services in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
Conduct fire and smoke damage cleanup, odor removal, and mold remediation activities.
Complete demolition, debris removal, and site preparation as required for restoration projects.
Pack, move, inventory, and protect customer contents safely and efficiently.
Set up, monitor, and maintain restoration equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other specialized tools.
Document project progress through photographs, moisture readings, and detailed job notes.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and restoration equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
Communicate professionally with customers, team members, subcontractors, and project managers.
Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience in restoration, cleaning, construction, demolition, or a related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction methods.
Ability to safely operate restoration equipment and power tools.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in physically demanding environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment as needed.
Willingness to learn new skills, complete training programs, and adapt to changing project requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours, including emergency response situations, evenings, weekends, on-call shifts and overtime.
Restoration industry certifications (IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, FSRT, or AMRT) are considered an asset but are not required.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
