Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, attention to cleanliness, and a willingness to support the culinary team in meal preparation and food handling tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry and develop foundational skills in restaurant operations.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling under the supervision of kitchen staff
Support food service operations by restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients as needed
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by disposing of waste properly and cleaning surfaces regularly
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours

Skills

Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and meal assembly is a plus
Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food industry standards
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
