Full job description

Fine Line Markings Inc. is hiring a mechanically inclined individual to maintain and repair small engines and specialized road-maintenance equipment.

This is a travelling position for up to seven months per year, with additional winter work available after the road-maintenance season. Accommodations, tools and company benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair and maintain small engines and related equipment
Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
Keep tools, parts and maintenance records organized
Troubleshoot mechanical problems in the field
Work overtime when required to keep equipment operating
Coordinate repairs and maintenance with supervisors and field crews
Help manage spare parts and equipment inventory
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications

Mechanically inclined with experience working on small engines
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Good organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to travel for extended periods
Available to work overtime, evenings and weekends when equipment repairs are required
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience with hydraulic, electrical or diesel systems is considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits

Starting wage: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
