Administrative Assistant

Part-Time | 20 - 24 Hours per Week
Wage: $25.95 to $29.76 per hour (based on experience)

About the Opportunity

SOCIS is seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities, and takes pride in contributing to the efficient operation of a community-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome clients, visitors, and community partners in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
Perform bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable processing
Assist with financial record keeping and reporting
Maintain accurate and organized filing systems
Coordinate scheduling for unionized employees
Provide administrative support to the management team
Assist with day-to-day office operations and special projects as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in administration, office management, bookkeeping, or a related role
Knowledge of payroll processes and basic accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong computer skills and confidence learning new technology
Experience with QuickBooks (considered a strong asset)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
A professional, dependable, and positive approach to work
