Full job description

The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites London, with 180 modern guestrooms and suites, 15,000+ square feet of versatile meeting space, Vic's on Wellington Restaurant and Bentley’s Lounge, is looking for an energetic Guest Service Agent to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while visiting us.

Responsibilities

Greets all guests that come into contact with Guest Relations ensuring that the guest name is used at all times.
Checks guests in and out of the property accurately and in a timely manner.
Handles guest enquiries and provides information on local attractions and gives directions as required.
Takes reservations as required in the absence of the Reservations Supervisor.
Answers all telephone calls in a professional friendly manner.
Equips the front desk at the commencement of each shift with the adequate stationary and forms.
Records guest comments for the information of the Front Office Manager.
Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute them
Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc.
Check, sort and forward emails.

Requirements

Must be able to work 35-40 hours per week. PART TIME HOURS NOT AVAILABLE!
No students.
Available for all shifts; 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
Must be located in the London, Ontario region.
Proven experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position is an asset.
Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
Proficient in English (oral and written)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
Strong communication and people skills.
Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Problem-solving skills.
Customer service orientation.
Reliable transportation.
Available any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
